    Help choosing an in-between polish/compound.

Correction: Title was supposed to be In-between/one-step polish

I'm planning to detail a bit more on the side this summer. And considering as most people don't want show car finishes(or pay for them for that matter) I'm looking for something that can really serve as a one step polish, two step when needed in order to maximize efficiency.

My my definition I don't count waxing/sealing as a step. It's just what I finish with.

I've been looking at Menz Power Finish, Sonax Profiline Perfect Finish and Blackfire SRC compound.

I'm basically looking for something that will cut well with either an Orange or Pink LC CCS pad(depending on the paint)but finish well enough to require only a Final Glaze & Wax/Sealant. For the darker cars I assume I'll need to do a finishing polish which I don't mind, but for the most part I want something that'll be quick and effective.

Sorry if this questions been asked a million times, I've been searching religiously and there's just so many options out there!!

    P.S I'll be using a rotary(Dewalt)

What about an all-in-one like Megs D151? I personally have not used it, but it seems tailor-made for the type of use you describe.

I'll definately look into it, I just saw AG has some sales on Blackfire (BOGO and Combo ) so now i'm a little tempted for that haha

Menz PF2500 or Megs Ultimate Compound. I've gone straight to LSP after Megs UC many times (even on black). PF2500 you have make sure you finish it down all the way.

All of these products can provide a good amount of cut while still finishing down LSP ready when paired with the appropriate pad depending on the particular vehicle.

I'd go with M205 and an orange pad, which can also be used with a white polishing pad (i.e if needed for those darker cars) and apply your choice of wax or sealant (i.e. sealant preferably).

Also, do you plan to get a DA polisher?

If they don't want to pay for a "Show Car Finish"...that sounds like a great candidate for an AIO.

I have used Blackfire Total Polish & Seal on two silver cars. Looked great. Took no time at all. Three passes with a white pad. $20 for 16oz and it goes a long way.
