    Severe pitting

I recently purchased a 04 Olds Bravada, Final 500 edition (490 of 500). There's severe pitting towards the bottom, by the tire well. Its on both sides but the passenger side is the worst. I haven't tried anything to remedy the issue (besides a basic wash) until I know what I'm doing and what I products I need. I'm sure I can't eliminate the entire problem but is there anything I can do to make it more presentable?

The more you fool with it the worse it will get. The only thing that's going to fix that is to respray the panels.

Yep, respray. It is due to the design of that part of the body flaring out and getting hit by road debris coming from the front tires. My sister owns a Ford Focus that is becoming the same way. She eventually had front mud flaps/splash guards installed, however the damage was already done.
