    Dash Treatment

I have a 2003 Chevy Z71. It's in great shape was always garaged by the original owner. I also can keep it garaged, however it sits outside in the sun from 8 to 12 hrs a day while I am at work. What products have you had success with in keeping the dash with a decent gloss but more importantly I understand that some products can actually dry the dash out and cause it to crack. Ant info would be greatly appreciated.

303 aerospace protectant and optimum protectant plus both have great UV protection. Stay away from anything solvent based as that is the stuff that dries out and cracks dashes.

The optimum product is matte though so if you are looking for gloss look elsewhere.

You don't want gloss. You want the fresh from the factory look which is matte or satin. This also cuts down on the glare you get from a shiny dash reflecting off the inside of the front windshield. 303 Aerospace wipedown followed by a dry buff will get you the perfect finish and also UV protection. Blackfire Interior Protectant is another good one (same method...apply, let sit for a few minutes, dry buff).

Also check out Sonax Dashboard Cleaner for a matte finish.

303 or Dash Away available at Walmart. Gloss? No, that is a mistake. Protection? Yes, both offer it.

    After a 303 treatment...
Treat the dash with one of the below:

    -Coverking Molded Dash Cover

I use 303 or 1Z Cockpit Premium. More importantly I use a windshield screen, especially in the warmer months. None of these options offer gloss however/thankfully.
