99 Escalade safety first

Like you all I LOVEa nice clean car but I will NOT sacrifice the safety of my family to have an eye catching ride. Check out the bald tires on this truck I did.

The other side had the cords coming through.

My issue:

I pick this car up and detail it and deliver it

As bad as those tires are, think of how long the OEM brakes have had to work harder to bring that thing to a stop. The people who go from 17-18" wheels to these monster 20-22" wheels have no idea how much extra weight is added. Couple that with worn tires like these and it's an accident waiting to happen.

20 and 22 are no longer considered huge. Newer Denalis and Escalades come with them from the factory.

We're talking about vehicles that are or, were, engineered with 16, 17 and 18 inch wheels from the factory and people then slapping on 20+ inch wheels. Whether you or the general public does or does not consider 20 and 22 wheels huge is irrelevant. The point is, these huge wheels are a lot of extra rotational mass that was NOT engineered to be there.

And, newer Denalis and Escalades are engineered to come with larger wheels from the factory. OP showed pictures of a 15 year old Escalade that, in its day, came with 16 inch wheels stock. Now it's wearing 24 inch wheels on bald tires to boot. Not exactly what I want beside me on the highway at 75MPH.
