This is a waste of product. If there is still coating on the tire, it won't allow 303 to bond to anything. I would just spend the time and reapply the TW coating.

That said, not too many of us never need to remove TW, it never peels, just fades over time. Besides that it's a rare item now so we wanna leave it on for as long as possible until something comes along to match it....if someone ever can

Guz, you know me so well 🙈🙉🙊
....but seriously, all I've heard about with that stuff is you have to clean and clean and clean and clean and clean and then, CLEAN the tire more. Then I remember reading about it peeling...no thanks, sorry. No peeling with TW, never.
In honor of my post I bought a TW kit off of EBay today, I have 5 kits and although I'm not lucky enough to find the kit for $2.00 I had to buy it, says his stock was almost gone and they sold 300 kits.

I used the applicator that came with it for the flat parts then a tiny foam paint brush to get into the treads. Yes it was tedious, but it lasts so ill take the time and do it.

Re: Coated my tires today and WOW,
Well, I curbed my front left on the way home from the cabin yesterday. Very easy to repair with a few quick swipes of the sponge and it blends in just fine.

Are you still using the same sponge to reapply that already had the Turtle Wax Tire coating on it?

I never cleaned the sponge after initial use and did use it for the touch up yesterday. I think I read something about wetting the sponge when it drys out but I didn't do that.

Re: Coated my tires today and WOW,
I put it a zip-loc bag, that's all I ever do with it.

I went with 3 coats and quickly learned that it's better to apply in the shade when the tires are cool so that the product doesn't setup to fast. Tires look great with minimal streaking but are a little to shiny for my taste. I'll put up with glossy tires if this product turns out to be as durable as some claim. I'm really impressed by how nice the trim looks on my faded 2011 Ford Edge!!!!!
Three coats is a lot. I just do one good coat and buff with a towel. Gives the tires a nice natural look.
