    Messed around with Iron-X yesterday

    Hey all,

Just thought I'd share a few pictures from yesterday afternoon. I got off work a little earlier than usual and had ~1 hour of daylight to mess around with a couple products. I hadn't used Iron-X before but was anxious to see how contaminated my paint (and especially my wheels) had become over the past 8 years. Full disclosure: I clayed the body work on this car about a month ago using Pinnacle Ultra Poly Clay, so I didn't expect as much Iron to be present as I would otherwise expect to see...

I also ordered P21S Wheel Gel a while back, and having used a lot of Flash Brown Royal over the years, I was anxious to see how this product would work after the Iron-X.

Enough from me for now - here are a few pics. Sorry if they aren't rotated properly - I tried to rotate them in the gallery, but it didn't "take" for some reason.

Let me know if you have any questions/comments. Thanks!

After Iron-X and P21S Wheel Gel:

I hear that! My first bottle of Iron-X Lemon arrived yesterday in the mail. Can't wait to see just how close to "Lemons" it smells. Now if they'd just offer Iron-X paste in something other then "putrid" scent... Awesome product though.

Thanks Jamesboyy - yeah, funny how your definition of "fun" changes as you get older... I wouldn't expect a college kid to be excited about using $10 worth of putrid-smelling liquid on his paint/wheels just to see some purple streaking!!

Yeah, it's pretty wild to watch the clear turn to purple as it works...

I sprayed the car with a hose first, then just lightly applied the Iron-X from the spray bottle. I did not agitate the product with a sponge - I just rinsed it off (profusely) after about 5 mins.

Back in the 60's the clear turning to purple streaks right before your eyes would have been a gas.
    But

Smells NOTHING like lemons, lol, smells like normal ironx with some kind of herbs and spices mixed in, it's still pretty bad.

They're working on another new version though, supposedly won't smell as bad.
