HELP! I need to get my hands on some touch up paint leveler that will actually work. I need it by wednesday…. Can it be bought locally or is it only online?
You wants to level out some touch paint right?? well I think the product your looking for is only online but a alternative would be to get 2500, and 3000 grit sandpaper to level out the touch up spot like the touch up paint leveler(paint thinner) would then used a combo like meguiars m105/m205 to remove sand marks..
just my eight cents
Just trying to think through this logically wouldn't any liquid that will "soften / level" already applied and dry touch-up paint, possibly have the same effect on the clear coat...
Have to take into account curing time. I think factory clear is baked. This touch up is air drying and only for 24-48 hours max. I think clear coat, because of its base, is resistant to many solvents that paint is not.

Touch up paint has a different chemical make up than clear coat.
