I have ordered LC CCS pads from 3 suppliers and they are all the same foam...only difference was the backing....I like the backing on the AG pads and Danase pads best....the ones from CMA are different and I heard they have a problem with them....I use the CMA pads for rotary use and so far not a problem...those pads just get 1 product on them...so cleaning is easy...
So far the LC foam has worked best for my needs..

One thing we'll definately will change at work this autumn is pads. Edge2K's 8", 6" and 4" will come, cheap foam 150 mm's will go. One thing I wonder about is wheather we could get 5" or 5.25" for the Top Tool but I'll ask TheEdge about that later.

You had on old discontinued version of the Blue foam in Dura-foam which is harder. That was changed over on all blue and white pads from Durafoam to regular polyester foam because it was softer and was to be a polishing and finishing pad. We don't make the blue and white in durafoam anymore so all the blue and white pads are soft. That change was done years ago.

There's no doubt that the edge open cell classic pads I used in the past were very porous and the cutting pads were extremely rough feeling. On my face, the black and yellow felt like steel wool kitchen scourer. whereas the LC's orange and yellow are no where as rough. stiffer but not courser.
I'll continue to purchase the edge black, yellow and white and all the LC eurotechs and CCS pads in all sizes.
I prefer the LC because they are partially closed cell and don't absorb polish like the edge do. Plus you can get the dead SS paint out of them far easier than the edge.
How about those Glare Hurricane pads. Aero cell reticulated foam
They look like LC pads to me.
