    Ford Super Duty running boards

What would be good to use on my 2011 ford super duty black running boards. Not chrome steps. Something that is not slippery. Its a truck, it gets used and extremely dirty. Would dlux work? Would it wear off where you step and look funny?

I would use a dressing like UTTG+. And save the dlux for other areas that won't see heavy wear.

Wolfgang exterior trim sealant works perfectly on plastic running board pads. Dries without being greasy or slippery.

Wouldn't the dlux wear off due to repeated use with getting in and out of the truck. Beings it is a coating. I would assume the abbrassive on the bottom of your shoe combined with your weight would cut through the dlux rather quickly. That is why I suggested a dressing. Am I totally off base with my theory?

You may be better off to clean it only, and not apply a dressing.

Some dressings can be slick, and even more so when wet.

I had an Explorer with running boards with similar plastic. I used PoorBoys Trim Restorer on them.

Thats my worry, being slick with snow or when wet. The truck does get washed regularly, so I do want something on them, its just when it gets dirty its really dirty.
