Hi there. Getting ready to tackle my 18 inch chrome GMC wheels on a Denali Yukon . Looking for some suggestions on polish /seal /protect/last . Is there one product that will do all or is at least a 2 step process. Has any body have any experience with the BL wheel coat ?.

I would first clean, and clay the wheel's then use a product call p21s metal polish soap to do most of the cleaning/polishing with then if I am not happy dry the surface and polish the surface with a medium or light compound or metal polish I have on hand then once I have the result's I want now it's time to protect them with a paint/wheel sealant of choice. But if your all in one kind of person/or doing this on a time limit, and the wheel's are not too bad wheel wax is a good product to consider also....good luck

If these are like the OEM "Chrome" wheels that are on my CTS-V, they are in no way chrome. They are polished aluminum with a clear coat over them. To the best of my knowledge GM hasn't used a true chrome finish on OEM wheels for years.

It might be worth looking into this before you try using a metal cleaner or polish on a potentially clear coated polished wheel. If they are indeed chromed, I second the recommendation for P21S, that's what I use on my exhaust tips.

GM put a lot of chrome-clad aluminum wheels on a bunch of their vehicles.

Gotta be careful with what products are used on them.

So far I have only had to used regular car wash soap on mine.

Other than Meguiar's Wheel Brightener; what products should be avoided?
