Flex 3401 / Microfiber pads - best combo pad/backing plate

Looking for input, I have the original 5.5" backing plate, along with the LC 4" & 6" interchangeable. Is there a preferred MF pad to use with any of these plates?

Or, should I purchase a different flexible plate / MF combo.

    Looking for opinions......

    Thanks

There are no other BP options. I prefer the 6" Buff & Shine MF Pads on the LC 6" BP. I don't buy the myth that MF pads and forced rotation don't play well together. My experience has been fine. I only cut with MF and finish with foam.

Any thick Microfiber pads are going to be your best bet. I have tried the buff n shine MF pads and they work well.

Mike had a thread about this topic and I can not find it.

Consensus is that the flex with 5" lake country hybrid pads are the best. You have to use the 4" backing plate with them.

I have found that mf pads do not cooperate well with the Flex. You really have to hold onto the machine to use those pads.

You are much better off with the hybrid pads along with some Wool pads.
