Long Term Project
Been working on this one for many years now (11 yrs). Still a long way to go, but it's getting there. At least I don't have to imagine what it'll look like anymore.

Re: Long Term Project
Did the engine run in when I finished building and installing it. So technically, yes it runs. No wiring harnesses or interior installed yet so not drivable.

The Presidential Limo...nice. Once I'm done with this vette I want to get 1st gen Camaro, Chevelle SS, or a cobra kit car. I know the kit car doesn't fit the mold, but it would be fun. My wife says no more projects, I think this is one argument she is going to lose. Need something to do in my spare time.

Did you do the painting, wet sanding and buffing yourself?

Re: Long Term Project
It will definitely end at some point. I have planned this thing out very carefully from the beginning making sure every modification fit into the scheme of the car. I've built this thing from the ground up doing everything except the paint myself. The only parts used from the original frame/chassis are the rear differential and front A-frames. The block is the only thing reused from the original motor, now putting out about 425 hp. Added rack and pinion power steering, modified the e-brake brackets on the rear trailing arms to allow room for the 255 tires. Went with a Tremec TKO 500 5 speed, which combined with the final tranny gear, rear gear, and tire size will give me a cruising RPM of 1700@ 80 mph, down from 3600 with the original turbo 400 and 235s. Added fiero front seats (yes fiero, google fiero seats in a C3). 82 style flex glass rear bumper and 69 L88 style hood. In the end it will be exactly how I planned it and no need to change....well, maybe modify
