Re: Orange peel question.
After my last repaint on the hood (deer strike) I have some pretty severe orange peel on the rear half of the hood near the windshield. I have a feeling that the paint is really thin so I decided against wet-sanding to remove the orange peel, instead, I chose to polish the car within an inch of it's life using Ultimate Polish and a Megs 5" polishing pad, followed by Ultimate Past on a finishing pad. The results are that the color and depth of the paint is so deep and dark that I can live with the O.P. and any non-obsessive compulsive never even notices it.
