Awesome Price for Flex XC 3401 at Sears...NOT!

Was surprised to see that Sears carried the Flex 3401 VRG. Was even more surprised when I saw their "Sale" price of $541.00. It's normally $600.00!!! Are you freaking kidding me?! Sears.com

That's not sold by Sears. Over on the right you can see From OnlineSuperSeller. Sears allows 3rd parties to sell on their website.

Just for grins, I'm gonna add one to my Christmas list. I'll show my wife the sears.com page and say, "Honey! Check out this awesome deal on this buffer! It's 60 bucks off at Sears!! I'd LOVE to get one of these as a "stocking stuffer!" then just stand back and watch her reaction.

Ok, my bad. But that doesn't make the price any more acceptable, does it? Besides that, I could buy it with my Sears card on Sears' web site and have it shipped to a Sears store if I choose so from that perspective, it's pretty much a Sears purchase.

How is Sears still in business?

It was a wonderful retailer a little over a decade ago, but now I am shocked they are still in it somehow.

It's just the middle man getting his cut is all, though he want's too much of a cut.

I buy parts for jobs that I do and make a minimum of 30% on the parts and then labor on top. I have to make that 30% on everything I spend to get the job done no matter what. Who pays that 30%? The customer does. They can pay me my labor and 30% markup on parts and supplies or they can go up the road and surely pay a higher markup.

Sears is just the guy up the road...right?
