    2014 Harley Davidson Street Glide

Hey everybody, I'm jumping the gun a little bit but I'm planning on buying a 2014 Harley Street Glide in big blue pearl in the spring!! It has a pretty good flake to it. My question is should I use some of my Opti coat or should I stay with my polishes and sealants? I know it's personal preference but I like that smooth clean feel of a freshly waxed/sealed paint. It also would be a million times easier to Opti coat and not have to worry about the in depth detail!! Any opinions? I have some time but it's in my mind so I thought I would ask!! Thanks!!

    Congrats!

I definitely would go with the Opti-Coat. Makes removing the bugs a lot easier and will protect against etching too.

I coated my best friends and he loved it! He's trading this one in for a new one soon, said he was going with Charcoal Pearl this time though....didn't like the red stripe on the 2014 matte black.

Also, if you want that slick feeling you can always hit it with some CarPro Hydr02 over the Opti-Coat.

I just finished up installing a 21 and 17 on my glide today. I opti coated my wheels and at first chance will be doing a paint correction and coating the entire bike.

You did Opti coat over the matte black? Did it change the look at all? I have always loved Harley's denim colors!!

Very nice!! I figured Opti coat would be easier than sealant every 6 months. I definitely think I'll go that route!!

OC has a very, very subtle darkening effect on matte surfaces but won't add gloss. Owner didn't even notice it.
