The most toxic product you have used/use
Hello everyone! I've doing a lot of reading on a variety of products specifically for the detailing world and some products not necessarily designated for use in detailing like xylene and isopropyl alcohol. I know there are a few acid based wheel cleaners out there too.
My question to everyone is: What is the the strongest product you use when you detail and what do you use it for? Thanks to all that reply. -Ed

Some products/chemicals are not considered to be the "strongest" in their genre,
but can be among the most hazardous/toxic/etc.
Example: Hydrofluoric Acid (HF)
Some of the chemicals', (that are contained in detailing products), "characteristics" include, but are not limited to:
Physical hazards:
-explosive, flammable
Health hazards:
-Toxic; corrosiveness (to skin); irritants (to skin, eyes);
sensitizers; carcinogenic; aspiration
Environmental hazards:
-Air quality; aquatic toxicity
Always refer to products' MSDS' and their ingredients/chemicals CAS#'s for this all-important information.

ZEP Ultra Concentrated Purple Degreaser. I use it for bus chassis degreasing but it's way too strong (caustic) to safely use on a regular basis and shouldn't be used for auto detailing in general. Get this stuff on your skin and it will turn your skin to slime upon contact.
ZEP Citrus Degreaser on the other hand is quite mild and in different dilutions works great for a variety of auto detailing chores.

Anything that's very basic or acidic. So probably acidic wheel cleaners and basic degreasers.

Phosphoric acid / laquer thinner.

May be off topic but, If anyone is into boats, the product "on off" is insane as far as intensity goes. Spray on the hull and watch the vapors emit immediately. Along with the toughest of stains.

Hydrofluoric acid - wheel cleaner
Sodium hydroxide - wheel cleaner, APC, snow foams
Xylene - body prep solvent
MEK - body prep solvent, adhesive remover
Toluene - body prep solvent
Too many more to list.
