Re: 4 Compounds/Polishes to last you a lifetime??

Very good recommendations from everyone. I appreciate it. It has definitely given me something to think about. I wish I could just try them all! haha but the way the wallets looking that isn't going to happen anytime soon... Thanks for all the recommendations so far. If anybody else reading this by all means go ahead and post your recommendations too.

Good point, I should be watching that thread closer...

And also a lot of people are recommending the M105/M101 & M205 Combo. My one complaint about using Meg's UC (derived from M105 if I'm not mistaken) is that it seemed to dry out and was hard to remove. Whether or not the weather conditions were affecting that or not, i don't know. I guess my question is is there any reason to choose one or the other in regards to M105 or M205?? Pros and cons to each??

I did watch part of the round table discussion video but it sort of threw me off when they said it was designed for rotaries. Thanks

I never had an issue with UC. On the other hand M105 has been a great pain for me to use. I still need to try that fix that was posted he a while back about priming the pad with mineral oïl before using M105. The article said it fixes all the issues with it: Greatly increase working time, reduces dusting a lot.

Lot of you guys love Menzerna. It's so expensive though, I haven't brought myself to try it. Once I am out of M105 I will definatelly try M101, it sounds like a much better product.

I to jumped on the bandwagon with menzerna. FG400 finishes damn near perfect, with good cut and little dusting. When comparing it to 105, I think 105 cuts a little faster and on a light colored car it might be LSP ready. When it comes to the dusting, I try to keep the pad very clean and don't use to much product. But it seems like my go to's are always 105/205.

In all honesty that's all one would need to do any full paint correction.
    Good stuff right there

And if you want that really special final finish,

The two M's. Meguiars and Menzerna. No need for anything else really.
