I like to keep my foam gun on setting C and Meg's hyper wash is a great inexpensive foaming soap that cleans well too.

Re: Does a foam gun cut down on time?

I watched the video he needs some wheel woolies and a Master blaster is way safer than his way of drying.

Re: Does a foam gun cut down on time?

I just pulled up Chemical Guys video of foaming a car. I think my mistake was I didn't dilute it in the bottle as you can see at 1:18 in the video of him adding Mr. Pink to the cannon.

MR. PINK Super Suds Shampoo - Chemical Guys Car Wash FOAM CANNON - BEST CAR WASH EPIC FOAM - YouTube

I guess I got thrown off because the Iron X Snow Soap said on the bottle not to dilute if using a cannon. I should have diluted the Meg's Gold that I used I guess. Oh well...live and learn.

But as you watch the video, notice how thick he is putting it on. Also notice how fast he's going through the soap in the bottle. This was how I applied it and was my experience as well.

Foam cannons look like a whole lot of fun. Foam guns do a whole lot more work IMO

^ perfectly said. Again, its a large volume of water and foam flowing off the paint. Not a mountain of foam sitting there doing nothing but wasting time.
In my day we didn't have the Internet, iPods,iPads, or smart phones....but we had some really bad-azz cars.

Re: Does a foam gun cut down on time?

To me, it actually adds some time. If the car is heavily soiled with dirt, mud, etc. I will foam it, otherwise, 2BM is the way to roll. But the neighbors certainly look at me a little crazy when I'm foaming up a car.

What is the maintenance on the pressure washer? And how much do you spend on gas to run it?

My neighbors have been noticing me, they think I'm crazy too lol, and I don't have the toys you guys have, yet

Bill you always do this ask for advice then never answer back.

Anyway the foam gun will add a step so common sense would dictate that's extra time.

The foam gun will amaze customers who haven't seen it yet. If your mobile it is an eye grabber and people will stop to ask you questions. I also like it at home as I can go crazy with it!!!

True statement. My neighbors come out and ask me so many questions when my car is just soaking in foam.
