Need advice prior to large order
Hi Everyone,
I bought a 2012 Cadillac CTS-V and I feel it is only right to detail the crap out of it (mainly because it has swirl marks and needs to receive the proper love)
This is the first car I will be detailing so any advice is more then welcome!

First off, congrats on the car, its a monster!
Looks like you love Meg's and I see nothing wrong with your products but if the swirls don't come out and your in a pinch, pick up some Meg's Ultimate Compound, its really an AWESOME product for knocking out those swirls, especially on that hard GM clearcoat!
Oh yeah read the directions real well on that Opti coat, I hear it can be a little finicky to work with. DP has a version of it that's supposed to be easier to use and apply, just sayin'.
Hope to see some pics, subscribed!

Thanks!
I will pick up the Meg's Ultra-Cut Compound, from what I have read it will work well with Ultra Finishing Polish.

Re: Need advice prior to large order
Looking at your list you picked out some good stuff.
Your polisher will come with the 6in bp and the mf starter kit comes with the 5in bp. No need to order another of each.
You have a 3in bp but no pads to with it.I suggest some 3in mf pads.
And your going to need some good mf towels and for the price the rolled egded ones here at AG are the best bang for your buck.
All in all good list.

Do you think the Microfiber correction system is the better way to go?

Thank you for catching that. I took out the 5in and 6in bp and added a couple 3in mf pads. Also added mf rolled edged

The kit includes the the da buffer, 2 backing plates, polishes, pads etc. No need for the other polishes pads etc. The second link I posted is the way to go as you get all the needed tools. Also, be careful with the CG Wash & Gloss, I love the product and use it to strip wax off, and that's the thing if you use too much it takes all the protection you put down off. I also really like Klasse aio and sealant, great stuff. And order the small bottles it goes a LONG way. For a detail spray hard to beat CG V-7 or Blackfire WDPS, I love both. Just my humble opinion. If your new to detailing Opti Coat may be a little touchy, the Klasse Sealant lasts quite a long time and is more forgiving.

And my personal favorite is CG Blacklight. This is an Audi A6 I did this weekend, that's one coat of Blacklight. The owner was really happy considering how it looked before I started.

I personally do not much like the meguiars waffle weave towel. I would recommend the cobra drying towel. It worked much much better for me.
