Deep Clean OptiCoat? Paint cleaner, IPA?

    Hey guys,

I have a Jet Black BMW that had OptiCoat on it. When it's clean it looks great but I can see every last imperfection.

For example I have a waffle weave towel that I used to blot dry a few washes ago but I can see a faint residue outline of when I did that a few washes ago. Even survived my last wash trying CG Citrus Wash Red.

How can I "deep clean" the surface?

I used some Prima Amigo to remove some OPC residue that I accidentally let dry on the paint. Should I use Amigo over the whole car?

Are you having any contamination or just streaking from your drying process?

I think it's beyond streaking cause the residue I see is from a few washes ago.

Well you can use anything you want like OPC you can also
Use a fine finishing polish as well

    How old is the coating?

Optimum Opti Clean Concentrate, Opticlean cleaner protectant, Optimum all purpose cleaner protectant

Dilute 1 part of Optimum Opti™Clean Concentrate with 3 parts water. Spray liberally on painted surfaces and wipe clean with a plush microfiber towel.
    Not OPC.

Would OptiClean clean more than ONR or even CG Citrus Wash Red (which is made to strip wax)?

The coating is maybe 9 months old. Still beads nicely.

Yes. Only I heavily sprayed directly on a high gsm mf towel, as opposed to the panel itself.
Never used any CG products myself. Nor the Prima product.
You can also try a light claying using a fine clay and ONR.
The light polishing also an excellent suggestion.
    Either way works.

I think your problem was that OPC always has to be rinsed. Not just blotted dry.

    Thanks for the suggestions.

What about using something stronger like CarPro Eraser? Would that remove any remaining residue?

I don't have a DA and am hesitant to hand applying a polish for fear of causing damage to my finish.

I hope that you get your answer, as I don't use any CarPro Product.
