Honda Soft Clear Coat
Greetings all sorry I havent posted in a while I have been mad busy at work and was playing the buying a used car game. I hope everyone is doing well and happy b lated Birthday to those I missed.
I ended up buying a 2005 Honda Accord EX-L white with lt brown int. I recently purchased Men IP PO91E. If i use the IP and a LK Country white 5.5 pad will that be over kill on the soft honda clear? The car has some etched water spots and some moderate scratches. I also hace OPT polish old formula and DP SSR. I really wnt to use the IP but dont want to do more harm than good. the car has 28,000 miles on it. I dont know it the scratches will show up on pics. I have to work this weekend but I will try and get some pics up.
Thanks for the feed back,
Bags

even though honda clear is very soft...sometimes some swirls and scratches take something like IP to remove...i would do a test spot with the old formula op first...if that gets everthing out..great...if not...step up to IP on a polishing pad...step up to a light cut pad if necessary

I finially had a chance to pull the car out in the sun and look at the paint. It seems it is a lot worse than I thought. Here are a few pics taken in the direct sunlight. As you can see no shine or reflection. This will be the hardest car I have donr to date. I was going to wash and clay then I was thinking about giving the Duragloss precleaner #2 a try. Or do you guys think I should go right to the IP or OPT polish or a little of both?
