Re: Favorite "local" autoparts store wax?

If you have a carquest parts close to you they sell Duragloss products. I really like their sealants.
Another popular chain nearby sells collinite 845

Can you overdose on megs ultimate? As in you can't really wax too much using a nuba blend wax but what about that wax being a synthetic sealant

It can be layered. Just put on nice thin coats. I have a client that travels a lot and I put 2 coats of ultimate paste wax on her front bumper and months later it stills beads like crazy and the bugs come right off.

Holy crap they're gouging you on the price IMO. See if you have a harbor freight near by. They used to sell 845 and the other kind (416? Its the paste kind) for 8 to 12 bucks. I'm gonna check to see if theres a carquest nearby. When I lived in Reno and had a Summit racing near by I used to be able to pick up Adams Buttery Wax. While I hate how it applied I loved the way it looks and i believe it was a 'nuba.

I have and/or have used Mothers Carnauba Step 3 Paste and Mothers Reflections Car Wax and Top Coat. I would gravitate towards Mothers in an instant.

The Reflections line is a hybrid of synthetics and carnauba. If I didn't have 845 or 915, I would use Reflections.
