User Friendly Paste Wax for Winter?

What would be a reasonably priced, durable, winter-worthy paste wax that's easier to use than 476 or 915?

I can't think of a single wax that's better than those two.

From everything I've read, I'm sure your right. I didn't mean to imply it had to perform as well as the Collinite products, just come close with less effort.

I'm sorry, I might have clumsily worded my original post. The Doublecoat wax is the 476 I referred to. 476 is the wax that immediately came to mind but after reading about it being a PITA I was a bit scared off. Therefore, I'm looking for an acceptable alternative. BTW it would be topping DG 501 as well.
    Thanks.

If its that hard to remove I would say it needs to be applied REAL thin and almost everyone says the double coat is THE product to use before or during winter. If I didn't have so many LSP's right now I would get some and save it for late fall useage but that's ok, I've got #845 and we'll see how that does over the winter here.

I cant think of any better than #915 but you really have to go thin. It is not as hard to work with.

I have and use all three, 845, 915 and 476. 915 is a bit more finicky than the others, especially when humidity is high, but 845 and 476 are a breeze as long as you keep your coat thin. IMO, durability ranking is 845, 915, 476, with 476 being the longest. My normal DD prep is DG 501/601 followed by 2 coats of 476, which gets me thru an entire PA winter. I learned a tip here that's been invaluable in metering product whether working by hand or machine. When you think you're pad's getting low on product, dab it on the glass and you'll be surprised how much you still have on the pad.
