safest engine cleaner?
Hello, while chasing a water leak in my 91 corvette ive decided its time for a general engine cleaning. What is the safest to use for light grease and that will rinse off with a garden hose? Looking at detailers pride products. Already have a great assortment of bruses of all lengths, sizes etc.

Re: safest engine cleaner?
If you opened my hood, all you would see is plastic covers! So I use Meguiar's Engine Cleaner which is safe for plastics and rubber. And no nasty odor. That works for my needs, since most of the covered engine components don't get dirty.

Meguiar's All Purpose Cleaner or Meguiar's Super Degreaser for the tough stuff. I also have a variety cleaning brushes to loosen and scrub areas for a thorough job..
