Ok, so I probably should've mentioned this, but I don't have a steam cleaner or an ozone machine.

Can anyone tell me the brand name of a good enzyme cleaner?

From looking online the one that Home Depot seems to carry is called Maintex, it's $10 for a gallon, it's called Restroom Cleaner. Check to make sure it's ok for carpets, or they may have another one for carpets. As other have mentioned carpet cleaning places will also have something for you.

As most of the members are saying an enzyme cleaner is the way to go...If the odor remains I recomend New Car Smell made by Chemical Guy's, the scent last for a very long time...I think this is a product A/G carries.

There's places that rent those machines and other equipment people need once in a blue moon, but would never buy. At worst you can rent a rug doctor with the handheld attachment from the supermarket. It's not quite an extractor, but it might be good enough to do the job.

No carpet cleaner, no problem.

Spray your cleaner liberally, brush in with a scrub brush, suck out with your wet vac. Lots of people clean carpets with this method while they are saving up for the Mytee or Aztec.

I can tell you what I used to get the cat pee smell out of a home rug. Use lots of baking soda and vinegar (rinse dry and repeat a couple of times). If it can get cat pee smell out it can get out the vomit smell.

Of course it's hard to do this method on carpet without being able to pull it out of your car and would ruin the carpet backing. For car mats this method would be great.

Also our family just had the GI bug and they threw up twice in the car and once on the white carpet at home. We used oxy clean powder mixed with water and that worked well.

Oh, one good outcome is that my wife said she will never complain again about my car detailing stuff since my Mytee Lite II saved the day with cleaning up all the mess. Of course she'll forget in a week or two until I have to remind her...

Can someone suggest a brand of enzyme cleaner that is ok for car upholstery? Failing that I think that fire is a great idea, if a little, ummmmmm, aggresive?!?

You only need to clean up the mess. I think all the enzyme eating stuff is overkill.
Keep it simple.
Go rent a rug doctor with an upholstery attachment.
Once all the mess is gone the smell should be gone also. If you still smell it then the mess is still there.
So use lots of soap and water.
I would use an odor eliminator to help with any minor smell that is left over, but make sure it's all cleaned up, that's the important thing.
