Arrow My recent order, trying some new things!

So I wanted to get ready for the upcoming season and needed some products as I was getting low, Alien Kleen inparticular but also stepped up to some new products that seem to get great reviews:

    -Collinite #845
    -M101
    -DP tire gel
    -Griot's foaming sprayer

Obviously Collinite has a cult following and it was time to step up to the plate and give it a try, I will use it on my fiance's Mazda 6 as an LSP and really see how it works out as her car isn't as cleaned and maintained like my own car is, thus a real word test as far as durabilty goes. The M101 is pretty new but everyone raves about it, I will be polishing out her Mazda 6 with that before hand, probably following it up with my Griot's MP #3 to finish it out and then the Collinite.

I like to mix tire gels and I have a couple right now, but I wanted something straight to replace my used up BlackFire Total Eclipse tire gel, that product was great and being adventurous here on AG I wanted to try something new and the DP tire gel got great reviews so I decided to give it a try, not to mention it was on sale and is a quart size, thus meaning the most bang for the buck.

The last product is the Griot's foaming sprayer, seems everyone likes these to make the product go further, so why not try it out too. I have Diable wheel cleaner and even mixed as directed, 3:1,it seems pretty thick, so maybe the foaming sprayer is what's needed for this product anyways.

Any comments on my little shopping list is much appreciated, thank you

I have heard great things about DP tire gel and eventually want to try it out myself. Also, I have a griots foaming sprayer myself that I use for my Griots Wheel Cleaner and Rubber Cleaner. It foams really well and lets the rubber cleaner stay on the tires instead of just running off. Good picks!

I usually don't include Collinite #845 in the "new products" category.
(It's probably been around longer than me)

However...I'm glad you're going to use #845 for the "upcoming season"...
    (I'll take that to mean the Spring/Summer of 2013)...for a "durability-test".

My main reason for being glad?
-I never could figure out why folks that use #845 so religiously for the
Winter season [saying it's so durable (road salt, et al) during those months]...
Will 'switch-over' to some other 'less durable wax', as it were, for use
    during the warmer/hot weather months.

    -Just seems to be a counter-intuitive/counter-productive process...IMO.

-Please keep us apprised of #845's: Spring/Summer-Durability. Thanks.

I use the Griot's foaming sprayer as well. I also have tried it with Diablo. It just doesn't work well with Diablo - too thick. Try it with a "regular" wheel cleaner like DP or CG Sticky. It pumps out real foam.

I recently bought the DP tire gel and it's the best I've ever used.
Was using Poorboys and it's great, but this is better IMHO.
Think you will really like it!

Swan, thanks for the input on the foaming Griot's sprayer and it makes me wonder, am I not diluting the Diablo wheel cleaner enough? Could you infact go 4:1 and still have it be effective, has anyone done that?

Bob, makes sense about Collinite not being used year round for sure, maybe because people go with more "show" during the spring/summer/early fall monthes and more "go' for the winter, maybe. I've heard so much about it that now was the time to try it but how does it compare to #915 other than the fact that one is liquid and the other is a paste? I almost bought the #915 but decided one at a time, I've got so many LSP's right now, enough for years, even with how I apply them (major product overuser here!)

Really looking forward to M101, its either going to be hype or bust on that one, we'll see.

I dilute mine a bit more than the the 3:1, more like 3.5:1 and it still cleans the wheels pretty effectively for me plus it sprays on easier.

Yeah Derek I'm going to try and dilute it a bit more to see how it sprays out but if it doesn't work out I'll end up using the foaming sprayer for Alien Kleen as it works great on wheels......well, wheels that don't have any Mequiars wheel protectant sprayed on them, huh Derek, LOL.

Oh yeah, my order comes in this Monday, does that mean spring is coming sooner than later, LOL!

Has anyone used the foaming sprayer with Alien Kleen?

After washing my fiance's Mazda 6 I've noticed some weird marks on the top of the fenders and I'm not sure what they are, not swirls, has an odd design to it so it looks like the M101 is going to get an early test using my unused new blue Optimum pad, forgot the actual name for it but its an aggressive foam pad.
