Re: Mytee Lite II 8070 Upgraded
Ok thanks, I will try that next time. I'm going to keep my eye out for a replacement extractor wand.

Re: Mytee Lite II 8070 Upgraded
Started thinking about this again, so I looked up this thread, where we were all confused about the specs on these Mytee units. According to the Mytee site today, the HP100 Grand Prix, HP60 Spyder, and the 8070 Mytee-Lite all have 130" of water lift. Compared to when I first looked this up in February, the specs on the Grand Prix and Spyder are down from 137" while the Mytee-Lite is up from 107".
So it would seem that all the heated machines now have the same vacuum system and the same pump, and the only difference between them is the tank capacity (and therefore weight), other than that the Mytee-Lite only has a 1000W heater vs. 1200W in the bigger units.

Your right Setec,
It is confusing and it would be nice to have Mytee say something. I've been using the 8070 model on full extractions lateley and the seats were dry about 2.5 hrs. later, the lift seems outstanding. I did throw a breaker once though, so it does prefer the 20 AMP ckt.

2.5 hours?? I was watching a Mytee vid where they were cleaning an office chair and the guy sits down on it right after he was done...I guess he got a wet butt. How about on carpets? I thought that was the whole idea of the 210° heater and the big lift was that it was dry in minutes after extraction.

Re: Mytee Lite II 8070 Upgraded
I picked up an 8070 last week from Autogeek. It has the 3-stage low amp vacuum motor, so it must do better than 85" of lift that the 2-stage one was rated. The Mytee site says the 8070 has 130" of lift on the specs page, but if you go to the replacement parts page, a C302LA replacement vacuum motor is rated at 110" of lift. And this is also the same motor on the two larger machines based on downloading the parts list PDFs. Not sure how the vac motor is rated lower vs the whole machine, since you think the motor would spec higher by itself, then once installed would have a pressure drop. I can say the plastic recovery tank definitely flexes when you block suction so I'm not sure now much more the tank can handle in terms of vacuum power.
No problems with heat on mine. I used 80°F or so water and it heated up well. In fact, while sitting on the ground to do some floor mats, the brass quick disconnect fitting by the nozzle touched my leg momentarily and burned the skin and it blistered up an hour or so later. The water spraying out definitely was near boiling hot, you could see the vapor cloud on an 85-90°F day. Even the rubber water hose was hot to touch, such that I wouldn't want to hold it for too long.

Howejt...Mytee certainly is inconsistent in their specs. And I was watching a youtube where a guy pointed to a scar on his leg where he burned it on the hose, so it certainly seems some insulation is in order. I see many people have a towel wrapped around the wand.

Does anyone know the specs of the aqua mytee lite ii (this one >) Mytee Lite II 8070. This site says 100 psi and 85" of water lift but if this is the same model as the blue/black one with just a diff color, would this also be 107"?

The new ones do have the 3-stage vacuum motor; unless you receive old stock, you will receive the latest version. (I think the aqua/teal version is an older one.) I recently exchanged emails with someone at Mytee who confirmed that my 8070 (purchased in February) has the upgraded vac motor (based on the serial number). (I was very pleased to hear this as I had been on the fence between an 8070 and an HP60.) I'm quite happy with my 8070 btw.

Thinking about getting the 8070. Is it worth it?

Im very happy with my 8070. I was initially disappointed in the water temperature of the unit but later realized that I didnt give it enough time to heat up. The water gets scalding hot if used properly.
