Overspray on Hood
Hi Everyone,
I parked ion an industrial park.
It appears i have a light overspray on my hood.
Do i Clay Bar it first, or do I get the polish out/
Thanks.
Second question has anyone used clear acrylic coat on headlights?
Any tricks to applying it or sanding between coats?
Thanks,
For all the help

Overspray from what kind of source?
Clear acrylic spray will eventually yellow, peel or chip away.

Depending how far the overspray had to travel to your hood and how well waxed the hood was clay may remove it just fine. If the clay doesn't get it all we need to know what kind of car/paint you have to determine a good next step.

Re: Overspray on Hood
Earlier this week I was contacted by a construction foreman who had 6 vehicles which got overspray from some painting being done over 300 yards away. I never could figure out what type of paint it was, but it was everywhere.
I did manage to snap a couple of pics with the left half of the hood untouched and the right side with the overspray removed.
I was really interested in how the Nanoskin Autoscrub would work... it was a lifesaver. I went over each area slowly in 2 directions... DA on 1, almost no pressure, ONR for lube... worked great.
