Any word on the new Optimum "No Rinse Wash & Wax"

I just saw it on Optimum's site and they are taking pre orders.

I would prefer to wait until the Geek has it here. Looks like an interesting new wash method.

One product with soap, nuba, UV protection all in one. No rinsing needed. And I already love the Optimum products.

And please Autogeek, carry it in the gallon sizes too.

Bet it's similar to the Pinnacle Rinseless with Carnauba

Re: Any word on the new Optimum "No Rinse Wash & Wax"

Today, you can pre-order Optimum No Rinse Wash & Wax and Opti-Eraser. Pre-orders will ship Friday, December 1st. These are two new innovations from Optimum that we debuted recently at the 2012 SEMA show in Las Vegas:

    No Rinse Wash & Wax (8oz/$8, 32oz/$20, 128oz/$50)
Rinse Free Wash with Carnuba, patented UV protection, and a refreshing honeydew melon scent will make this your forst choice for rinseless washing! How could we make car care any easier? By combining cleaning and protection in one easy step...that's how! No Rinse™ Wash & Wax is the most technologically advanced car wash system that only requires 1-2 gallons of water to wash and wax the entire car. No Rinse™ Wash & Wax does not require rinsing since there are no soapy surfactants to wash off into the storm drains. This unique product contains substantive polymers which bond to the paint and protect it during the wash and advanced wax technology for weeks of protection. Therefore, No Rinse™ Wash & Wax offers greater protection and lubricity than conventional car washes leaving a sleek & glossy finish behind afterwards. The waste water in the bucket can be used to water the lawn or disposed of into a sink, where it will be treated! Additional benefits are faster washes, ability to wash anywhere at anytime including washing inside the garage during the cold months, no messy water runoffs, and greater looking car finishes. No Rinse™ Wash & Wax can also be used to wash motorhomes, motorcycles, boats, and planes.

    Opti-Eraser (Mild or Aggressive/$20)
An Evolution of the clay bar. Use Opti-Eraser before waxing or sealing to safely remove bonded surface contamination. Will not mar when used accordig to directions. Available in Mild and Aggresive versions.

Visit optimumforums.org and click on the "Buy Direct" tab or directly from Featured products to place your order.

Um...new wash method? Let's not make this more complicated than it is. It's ONR with OCW mixed in. I have no doubt it will be a great product, but it's not a new method, and it's not even a new idea as the DG rinseless has AW mixed in and has been out since at least earlier this year, and as ihaveacamaro noted, the new Pinnacle rinseless has wax in it.

It bothers me that the last version came out not too long ago. Almost like they could have waited to just release this product and save some people money.

The DG Rinseless with AW is an amazing product, so I don't really see myself changing from that, just my .02

I don't think this version replaces the current version of ONR. It is simply another option.
It's not that I have a thick skin, it's really just that I'm too dumb to know when I've been insulted.

True, but why would anyone want to use regular ONR now? You still have to do a wipe down before a coating, so why not take advantage of the increased protection of this product?

    +1

I think the only difference is the color. Even though it has "carnauba" mixed in, I don't think it would provide the protection that we are all accustomed to. IMO, I think this new product will only hinder it's cleaning ability, which is it's intended purpose. However, we will never know until we try the product.
