I have used Optimum Power Clean diluted 3:1 with a old soft toothbrush to get rid of stuff like this.

I have an Avalanche and this is a constant problem seeing as how half the darn thing is plastic. The best and easiest thing I have found is an eraser. (Not CarPro Eraser, just an eraser) The white ones work best.

BobbyG once suggested I use mineral spirits and a toothbrush and it worked well. Use a very thin layer of the spirits and scrub briskly until you see it almost foam (you have to use VERY little to see it happen this way). Just dont over do the scrubbing bc it CAN flatten your texture turning it brownish

Over the Years i have tried too many products to remove dried on wax, and all have failed. Until one day i went a car show here on the island, and someone showed me small sponge to soak in water and then rub it in the effected area, and walla it worked, but it also cost $10.00.

A month later, someone that has no idea about wax's or detailing vehicles, showed me something that costs $2.00 and you get a poop load of it in contained that does the same thing and safer, that person is my Wife, and the product is Mr. Clean Magic eraser, at your local supermarket, she uses it on almost anything, including the walls, when i touch them with my dirty hands.

So, take a walk to the supermarket and solve your dried on wax problems for pennies.

A small household steamer like the little tea pot size ones sold at Target etc do a great job to get rid of dried wax.
