Someone get me up to date...

So what is this ironX stuff and what does it do? Why is it better than say clay or a traditional scrubbing?

I ask because I can't seem to figure out why it is better, and it seems to me a fairly expensive product... So why use it?

This is used to remove iron on paint, wheels etc. It also counts down claying time on paint alot. To me it almost cut down the time in half.

Personally, I almost always use it after a wash. If the paint bleeds, I know a clay bar session is needed. I also feel better knowing the amount of iron particles have been substantially reduced, which lowers any chance of inducing scratches with the clay bar.

If the paint doesn't bleed....I'll skip the clay.

This is a picture of Iron-X doing it's thing on a 13 year old daily driven van. This thing was hammered and you could see the iron deposits all over the paint being dissolved away.



It would have taken me probably over an hour to thoroughly clay the entire thing. Instead it took me about 20 mins and if I recall correctly I only had to fold the clay once.

So basically what it boils down to is:

- Iron-X saves you time.
- Iron-X saves you clay.
- Iron-X does a better job than clay alone.
- Iron-X turns purple... and who doesn't love the color purple?
