    M105 M205 & Pads

im new to "compounding". Where I work pretty much all the cars there just need an All in one polish via rotary. If you use a Wool Pad with M105 what pad with M205? If you use a yellow pad what pad do you use with M205 and the list goes on.... Also what speeds? Thanks Help is very much appreciated!

a wool pad with m105 is probably the most agressive you can get. I would recommend speed 4 as it does have a faster rpm than a da and the chance of burning paint

Something alot lighter. I would look into rotary finishing pads by meguiars

    Re: M105 M205 & Pads

Use a foam polishing pad. Specifics depend on what brand pads you prefer. Remember there are wool cutting pads as well as wool polishing pads. Generally speaking start with the least aggressive combination and do a test panel. Rotarys are more aggressive than DAs and M105 is a pretty aggressive compound. I generally find keeping foam pads clean is easier tham their wool counterparts.

The right combination of rotary, pad , pressure and compound is a powerful time saving device.
