Lake Country Kompressor Pad on a Rotary... Post your opinion
Guys, I know many users said to like the Kompressor pads on a Rotary, now I want to sum up some things:
- Why you do or don't like it on a rotary ?
- Which colors do you like to use ?
- Which color do you use to jewel with PO85RD or other polish ?
- Which size do you use ?
- Kompressor pads help to keep heat in check with a RO ?
- How are your Kompressors pads holding so far ? Destroyed pretty fast or they last quite nice ?
My questions are directed to Rotary use only from the Kompressor pads as I understand they are not well suitable for a DA. I destroyed all of my kompressors pads after using 1 or 2 times while using them on a DA.

I've used a 6.5" orange one before, worked okay, lasted well. Would almost prefer a flat pad in the future, or a 3M waffle. Sorry I can't answer all of your questions, but that's my limited experience with them on a rotary.

Well that's a good start... but why you'd rather using a flat one ?

I think they work really well for buffing curved panels as the slotted fingers give way to contour to the curves...

Mike, do you think these pads with a flex-foam backing plate, would be less aggressive than with a flat pad on edges and body lines ?
I'll start using a RO, but wanna make sure I'm as safe as possible...

I don't like them personally. I feel I wasted my money on a set

What about the Hydro-tech version of these pads, Mike? I don't see much information being posted on these.
I've heard they don't play well with a dual action polisher. Is there any truth to this? Just wondering. Not too long ago I almost bought a few smaller ones, the six inch I believe, to use on my rotary.
I'd also like to hear a little about the purple version of the Kompressor pads. What sort of paint defects should they be used on and such. I've heard the purple is really aggressive compared to the yellow LC pads and perhaps even the Meguiar's maroon cutting pads.

They don't seen to do a good job compared to the Hex Logic pads.
