Enjoying the restoration of my internet connection this afternoon. I’ve got six windows open and I’m posting in all of them

Hmm. Don’t scare me now… Maybe I’ll do something about it now that you’ve probably jinxed it.lol.
A couple of months ago I literally backed into a street sign pole in a parking lot… It was dark and the pole was already bent like it had been hit before, but I nailed it pretty hard and I was pi***. I drove all the way home before being able to check it and fortunately it didn’t cause any damage. My guess is because it was already bent maybe it only hit the bottom of my bumper. I was surprised because I hit it pretty hard. I got lucky.

You should really put some touchup in there. I have a chip that I have procrastinated about touching up, that has now started to rust. No more buying touchup from PaintScratch, they put it in plastic bottles and it just dries up.
The pole does look fake doesn’t it?lol. But of course I didn’t do that. Lol.
As far as the scratch, what if I screw up and make it look worse? Now that would probably bug me more than the actual scratch in its current state.
Worst case scenario and it rusts, at least it’s not on the quarter panel near the wheel well. I can just replace the entire door.
[I did see your edit just now. Lol]

Chances are, since you are a skilled detailer, you have a steady enough hand to fill in the scratch to make it look decent.

No better way to learn than on your own car. You’re right about that. The little dent is the only reason that makes me unsure, because I’m supposed to sand it flat, but how am I gonna sand it flat if it’s dented?
That’s why I don’t spend much time thinking about it.

Speaking of painting, I have to paint the wiper arms on my Cadillac. I have SEM paint, just got to get in the mood to do it

Be careful with that. Do it indoors if you can. Last time I painted my windshield wiper arms it was kinda windy but I was impatient and wound up screwing up.
