The FJ was originally based on the same platform as the 2006-7 Land Cruiser Prado, just shortened a bit.
Pics below are our Land Cruiser 300, very big, very expensive, and impossible to get. The Land Cruiser 70 series, hasn't changed much in 20 years. The current Land Cruiser Prado, which I think is just ugly, and slow. And yes, I do see the irony of someone who drives an FJ calling another vehicle ugly, but the FJ is ugly with character.

I’d put that money to a built motor, bigger injectors and another turbo before I put a sub and amp in my truck.

Saw this little beauty this morning, I'm not even sure I could fit through the door. It's a 1954 Austin A30. I worked with a guy many years ago whose one and only speeding ticket was in one of these, on Conrod Straight at Mt Panorama, Bathurst. You may remember it from the race videos on DFB's Aussie Muscle thread.
