Winter protection - how stupid is this idea?

SO... its 100 in the shade and I'm thinking about winter. I was gonna try Collinite 845 or the 476 paste this winter on my daily driver...

What would happen if I put it on thick and didn't buff it off! After all, I really don't care how my DD looks in the middle of January, I just want to provide maximum protection for my paint. In the spring, it should come off with a good stripper wash or cleanser.

so many things I could say but let's just go with

not a good idea... not only would take more than just a stripping wash to get it off after an entire winter, but since the surface would not be slick, you'd get so much more dirt, snow, leaves, rocks, birds, you name it stuck to your car... you'd might as well be driving around in this:

I told my wife that a husband is like a fine wine; he gets better with age. The next day, she locked me in the cellar.

while you are at it, get 50 bottles of sunblock lotion and just soak yourself with it, don't wipe it off. Now you and your car will be protected until winter, and see how much you and your car likes it
