Teen center car washes.
My last couple of posts were about my teen center doing a car wash each year. One of the workers knows I detail cars and asked if there would be anything else we should get. I was thinking a foam gun and a bucket with grit guards, but idk how to really use a foam gun and idk if they are worth the work and product
Any info would be helpful

Skip the foam gun. Isn't worth it. Just get some buckets, grit guards, soap and sponges. Maybe some towels as well.

For example they were using beach towels. Wrong using dirty water again wrong, and using improper wash methods. I was thinking the foam gun might be easier, but I guess Id rather use something like the buckets with the grit guards

I just had a mental picture of voluptuous college girls in bikinis pouring buckets of soapy water over their............
Oh wait, that was a movie I saw once.
Nevermind.

Just make sure that have products will do as little damage as possible to the vehicles. A quality soap, quality sponges and quality towels would be the way to go. Best you find some shade for them to work in too. So many times I see these kiddos working in a hot, sunny mall parking lot. Not a good idea, right?

Lots of microfibers, in case they drop one they need to get a new one.

Just make sure the kids are pre-rinsing well before washing to ensure that they get all the hard debri and dirt off.
Grit guards should be a must and they are relatively cheap insurance to help not cause new swirls/scratches.

I would do a Rinseless wash. A gallon of Optimum goes a long way. And it is pretty safe and quick. Especially in the hot sun.
