Megs MF pads with other products besides D300/301

Anyone try Megs MF pads with other products besides Megs D300 and D301? I am staring to like the MF pads better than foam and have had great success with D300. I am liking the D300 and MF much better than M105, as it finishes down well, longer working time and less dusting. I was thinking about trying DG 501 with the Megs MF finishing pad, just wondering if anyone has tried Megs MF pads with other products and found a combo that worked well. So post up if you discovered a good pad/product combo.

I use the MF Cutting and Polishing pads with D151. Its works great as a one step. I usually top off with another wax or sealant.
I want to try M105 or 205, I have heard it works well.

Do you find that the MF pads cut better and finish down nicer then foam with D151? What have you heard about 105/205 and MF?

Yeah, I noticed that D151 on a cutting pads cuts great, and if you finish it slow, as usual, and with no pressure it can finish LSP ready. I have used it on many vehicle this way.
As far as M105 I have not tried it yet, but read that a drop or two of M105 with either D300 or D151 can increase the cut.
I figure M205 with any MF pad may not work that well, since it a such a fine polish.

I have tried the 105 & 205 combo with Megs MF. No problems, but D300 cuts very well and is easier to work than 105 IME. 105 is my last resort compound and with D300 I havent had to use it much!
I never use D301 since I am a coating fan now. Optimum polishes work well too. Corey is wowed with Car Pro Fixer with MF pads.

Which Optimum polish are you using with the MF pad?

I agree D300 is much easier to work with then 105. I have a fresh gallon of 105, unfortunately I don't think I will be using it much.

How does Megs UC and Swirl X works with the MF system? And what would be a good finishing polish after D300?

I got into the habit of priming the pad with D300, then adding 2 drops of D300 and 1 drop of M105 to the pad. I do get better cut when doing area's that are bad. The only thing to watch out for is pad cleaning. With M105 added to the mix, the pad gets dry faster and you will see the product start sticking to the paint depending on how much pressure you use. So when adding in the M105 just be aware that the system will behave very differently and is much more prone to drying up faster with less pass's. To help I started using more spritz's of water. but you have to be careful with that as well, as it seems if you spritz too much, the pad will dry even faster. Its a weird balance, that to some may not be worth it cause the amazing ease of use of the MF system is effected.

But if you nail the system down pat, you will for sure get more cut and better results and have a lot of need for that gallon of 105 again.
