List your favorite Pad and Polish combo, and why

As the title states, I am curious to see what you autogeekers use as your "go-to"/favorite pad and polish combo. In other words, whether it's on your own personal vehicle, or your customer's vehicle, what's your favorite combo? List only one combo!!! (We all have a lot of favorites) Also list a short stint as to why it's your favorite. Is it because it's easy to use? best wet look? flake pop? best correction ability?

Who knows, we all could learn a thing or two about some different combos and try some new things.

I will start it off:

PAD: LC White CCS
POLISH: Menz Power Finish
MACHINE: PC
SPEED: 5.5
WHY: It's my go to combo because on my personal vehicles, after winter's wrath, and some clay bar marring, I don't really need to go in excess with an orange pad. It just needs a light polish. It's very versatile and can correct quickly without drying, and can be used to correct moderate to very light swirls. I just vary the # of passes sometimes. It also leaves the surface "almost" LSP-ready. A quick pass of gray/85rd/blacklight is all it needs.

I only whip out the Flex and other pads for customer cars and for more intense correction needs

A close 2nd would be LC Gray pad with PO85RD, or lately, CG Blacklight as an all-in-one.

Not sure I have a favorite, but I like these combo's a lot.

PAD: Meguiar's MF 5" cutting pad
POLISH: D300
MACHINE: GG6
MACHINE SPEED: 4
WHY: Cuts fast, finishes very well, little to no dust, easy breezy wipe off.


PAD: Blue or Crimson LC foam
POLISH: PO85RD, PO87U, 3M Ultrafina, M205
MACHINE: Flex Rotary
MACHINE SPEED: 900-1800
WHY: Pure bliss!

I will usually just use a green CCS pad with Wolfgang Polish Enhancer on my PCXP on speed 5 to clean the paint up. No correction needed then. But for cars that I just do a one step polish on, I generally start off with CG Paint Correction 1. Can finish down LSP ready and has decent cut. I usually pair that with a Orange pad.

Pad: 10" Wool pad
Polish: 3M Compound

Pad: LC VC black 7.5"
Polish : PO85RD
Machine: Flex
Speed : 4
Why: nothing like it for a quick polish or follow up polish after doing corrections.

This is my new favorite to scratch that itch and takes very little effort.
Replaced the PB PP on a red /blue pad.

This is for a general polishing. No indication if it was to be for corrections & how bad.

Wow... Keep it coming guys. I am digging these responses. I now see that I'm not the only guy who uses blacklight with a gray pad. It's our little secret works awesome and might even finish nicer than 85rd and can go straight to sealant or nuba. It looks uberrr wet. Top it off with Fuzion??? You have detailer's heaven right there.

For Polishing:

PAD: 5.5" Crimson Low-Pro Hydro Tech
POLISH: 106FA
MACHINE: Flex PE 14-2
MACHINE SPEED: 600 - 1,100 rpms
WHY: Cuz it works!!!

Correction:

PAD: Meguiar's 5" Microfiber Cutting Pad
POLISH: Meguiar's D300 Correction Compound
MACHINE: Meguiar's G110v2
MACHINE SPEED: 4 (4800OPM)
WHY: It has an amazing cut, finishes extremely well, and minimal dust It's so easy to use and produces amazing results.

Finishing:

PAD: Meguiar's W9207 Finishing Pad or LC 6.5" Black Pad
POLISH: Meguiar's M205 Finishing Polish
MACHINE: Flex 3401 (wish I had a rotary for this)
MACHINE SPEED: 3-4
WHY: It cleans up any micro-marring the initial step left and produces insane gloss. I love M205!

Pad:über blue
Polish: lime prime
Machine: metabo
Speed: 2-3
Why: wish ag would get über pads. They are amazing!
