    Rock Chips----please help!

    I need advice on how to deal with rock chips on my hood. Please weigh in with your opinions and suggestions! By the way, my car is black.....

    This may help you. I have not used it myself but some of the guys here have had good success with it.


    Dr. ColorChip Paint Chip Repair, dr. color chip, repair paint chips, touch-up paint, Doctor Color-Chip Paint Chip Repair

    Get the Dr. Color Chip repair kit and keep in mind...

    You can make rock chip repair as simple as you want or as complicated as you want but from my experience, more and more work, time and energy doesn't always equal better and better results.

    Keep it simple. Chances are good if you've gotten rock chips in the past you're going to get them in the future unless something's changed, like you've moved to a different location where rocks on the road are no longer an issue or you stopped driving the car, etc.

    I drive about 5000 miles a month so my hood has taken some pretty bad abuse. I just use to touchup paint and touchup clear coat and call it a day. I have to many to try to wet sand and blend back in perfectly with the surrounding paint. My goal is to just make the area's less noticeable because like Mike said chances are your going to get more.
