    Re: Looking for Pad Advice.

I have been using the CCS 5.5" for a couple years now and love them. I have tried a few flat pads and while they are much smoother to work with, they don't seem to cut nearly as well as a clean CCS.

CCS pads do not cut as well, and in my experience tend to suck up product.
The CCS pads have an open-cell design so they end up sucking up a lot more product. The Flat pads are closed cell so they don't get saturated. I would for sure go with the flat pads. Hydro-tech pads are great but they tend to get destroyed quickly if you don't change them after every pannel or so.
