My car have some bad spot

My car look like this in some areas now Im extremely motivated to give it a new shine without having to take it to a paint shop.
After some search I found the Griot Garage 6" Random Orbiter and it seem like a good option.
Now what pads would I need to get with the Griot 6" to help me with this.

Im sold on Duragloss Product then which one would be a good one for this.
    PC-No.2 (Buffing & Polishing Cleaner) 652
    Marine & RV Polish 501
    Swirl Mark Remover 671
    or something else?
    Thanks!

the car is a 96 honda

Welcome to Ag! It looks like the car has clear coat failure. The only way to fix it is getting it repainted. I don't thinking buffing it will really do much in those areas.

clearcoat failure, im betting its a honda accord, those years are known for clearcoat failure on hood/roof/trunklid/side pillars, buffing wont help the clearcoat failure look anybetter, on those cars its a combination of crappy prepwork, and most who own these cars just use them to get from point A to point B and give it a wash once in a while and dont apply wax...sucks that it happens but if the rest of the paint is ok on the vehicle you can get the roof repainted, an advantage to just getting the roof done is its cheaper then a full respray, you dont need to worry about color not matching 100% as the roof nobody really looks at. sorry to be the bearer of bad news but buffing wont help the clearcoat failure it will help the paint shine around the failure.

Yeah, not much that will help with that. Other than a paint shop.

So true. I've seen so many Accords with big streaks and blotchy areas on the hood and roof. Everyone couldn't be washing their cars with dish detergent .

As mentioned, no amount of polishing or product will make that better - you'll need to get it repainted.

Yep I was not expecting to get those areas looking like new but atleast get em alittle better.
It it a civic and the hood is in good shape only the area ya listed have those bad spot.

then from the duragloss line which one would be the one to use with the griot random polisher, and pad combination?

Since is clearcoat failure I would use this car as my test platform.
    Thanks.
