    Vinyl Seat Maintenance

Hey everyone, my truck has Vinyl seating and am curious if there is anything I should do to protect it? I am very leery of trying something as I do not want to have a slippery or slimy mess on my hands as I am sure it will not "absorb" as leather would.

I want to keep the interior as nice as possible, have not used anything on the truck yet and am figuring I will have to take some sort of measures to preserve it.

For what its worth I have PERL and 303 but again, I am assuming they will leave undesired results.

Is there a product made especially for vinyl interior/ seat covering?

I can't speek about Perl....havn't tried it yet but 303 will work well for you.

I use Optimum protectant the most and really like it!

^^ have you diluted the 303 or used it at 100% concentration?

Ok. Maybe I will try a little section on a back seat somewhere to see what my results are. Thank you for the tip!

303 will be non-slippery and have a slightly satin finish on most vinyl.

If, after you apply it, wipe and let it dry, it's still too glossy for you, just buff it with a clean MF towel.

Vinylex or PERL from my world.

When I purchased my car in July I put on some Vinylex a few days after, and I performed a touch-up in the fall because some areas were dirty from teenagers. I really liked this product (UV protection, seems to be anti-static - no dust accumulation, etc...). PERL seems to be cheaper per ounce and after I got some on BOGO I learned it can be a replacement for Vinylex. I will see if I can have move to 1 product inside and out.

I like Vinylex as well, it's also water-based (IIRC) but has a little more glossy/shiny finish.

    Re: Vinyl Seat Maintenance

glossy or shiny finish isnt necessary for me. I am more so concerned about protecting. In fact i would rather it be more of a satin finish as my vinyl is satin and almost has a leatherette sorta look to it. I think it would look funky shiny. thank you for the posting and input though! I guess I have a couple options in my cabinet as we speak! I knew all that money I spent the last couple months was not in vain! lol
