ONR or DP Wash & Gloss
It is not my intent to start a war here but I am having a hard time deciding between ONR and DP Wash & Gloss. The two products seem very similar. My application is to safely no rinse wash my car in the wintertime. What does Autogeek think?

HA, it's too late Drew, the war over which ones best started long ago!
They're both good products.
Today's Optimum No Rinse is there new and improved or second generation. To add additional confusion Autogeek discontinued the original line of DP products and launched their new line; Detailer’s Pro Series. The formulations of this re-branded line were to have changed for improved performance. This means that the original DP Rinseless Wash & Gloss is now Detailer’s Pro Series Rinseless Wash & Gloss.
Buy a small amount of each and see what works best for you...

Re: ONR or DP Wash & Gloss
Haven't tried the reformulation but I really like the old version. It's hard to go wrong with anything DP, plus it's a PBMA product so buying it is extra good for the 'geek.
Plus, see this thread- DP Rinseless Wash and Gloss.

Re: ONR or DP Wash & Gloss
I see now that Ultima Waterless Wash Plus can be used as a no rinse. I think I have narrowed it down between the Ultima and DP. Any opinions on one vs. the other? I guess I'm leaning towards the DP because it is really marketed as a no rinse and it is much more cost effective.

I've used both now...and I think I like DP Rinseless Wash and Gloss better. I should have bought a small bottle of ONR but either way, it will get used.

I suspect that thread started this thread

Whichever one is the better deal. If you are an OPT car wax guy I'd stick with the product line.
In my day we didn't have the Internet, iPods,iPads, or smart phones....but we had some really bad-azz cars.

Re: ONR or DP Wash & Gloss
I've used the latest formulations of both, and honestly, the difference between them is really so slight that the best option would be to just get whichever one is cheaper at the time. The DP seems to leave the surface just a little slicker than ONR, and maybe a little bit glossier, but on the flip side, ONR felt a little more lubricious, streaks a bit less (based on the windows), and it may encapsulate and hold dirt just a bit better, based on how it's a little more difficult to rinse my mitts clean after washing.

More important the a slightly slicker or glossier finish.
