I have had 4 cars repainted all with high end paints. I had them done at 2 different shops, and both painters told me to NOT wax or apply anything to the paint other than soap for 90 days to allow the paint to breath and cure. I follow what they said.

The fact that the cars were all taken down to bare metal and applied with 3-stage might be why the 90 days was said. Its also the way they cure the paint...

    Wow thanks for the replies!

I actually only got one update that there was a reply to this thread

Alrighty, so 3 months it is! No problem there though, I got the chance to use my Foamaster Gun today and that was worthy of a cigarette afterwards, and I don't even smoke!

So it would be alright to wax at some point right? I've got some Pinnacle Souvereign that I have only had the chance to use 1 time. And now that the side fender emblems are gone, I cannot hardly wait to wax it

Here are some shots of it today after the incredibly fun washing:

Looks great bro. Love the new chin spoiler and the fact you kept it flat black and not painted. Be careful going over any bumps and entrances, don't learn the hard way! haha.

Actually, the chin spoiler does not sit NEARLY as low as the bumper I used to have on their did. It was a Cervinis bumper, and I had to get it repainted 3 times because of curbs and road construction. So its actually a relief to have a little more ground clearance! Although I do have to watch out for parking barriers. I've already lightly scrubbed one from parking too far forward But the mark is so small, I can live with it.

O yes. I have full Saleen ground effects on mine and I always make sure not to pull to far forward when parking. Mine sits about 4" off the ground.

pure wax like Souveran only for several months. Dont use harsh polishes and cleaners unless absolutely needed. Wax will protect from UV exposure and potential environmental issues (doo-doo).

Waxes breathe ... some sealants dont. Reason body shops warn is most people use cheap AIO type products with harsh chemicals and cleaners.
