    menzerna polishes.

    im looking for some preferences on speeds using a rotary and a DA on
    1- sip
    2-106fa super finish
    3- po85rd.

    what speeds and techniques do you guys use?

    I don have any experience with a rotary but with the DA I suggest speed... Speed is needed for correction. You have to break down the polish and correct the paint.

    I use speeds 5&6 for SIP

    For 85rd I use 5 but as I finish the section I will slow my speed a little.

    Once you get some experience you can adjust your technique to get the results you want. A lot of times I don't pay attention to speed. I look at my results and adjust my technique to get the results I want.

    Rotary

    Sip - 1800
    SF 1500-1200
    85RD 1200

    These are general for me. Pressure is the key. Heavy at first then lessen. It is the key to using these polishes with a rotary IMO.


    DA 6 or 5 again changing pressure is very key.

    I got excellant results with 85rd at a notch over 5 with my PCXP.

    A good range is 1200 to 1800rpm for rotary or 4.5 to 5.5 for DA.

    If you just want to use one speed then 1500rpm for rotary and 5 for DA will work.

    As for arm speed and pressure; it is highly dependant on paint type and defect.
