Re: Plan A or B?
Seriously buy the 601 and pre mix, you will need 2 whites pads and yes they will be DG pads only from now one (similar to Klasse but never tried a solvent soak).
I would buy all 3 since DG is cheap(that's $25 worth of polish/sealant), first pass 601/501 then top with 601/105. You will be surprised at the looks and protection.
I would try and get her to wash it once a month at least or else I'd just coat it and forget it.

With 501----speed 4-41/2---1-2 passes will work
with 105----speed 3-31/2---1 pass
All above are mixed with 601 and I find this works very well for me.
others may chime in with something different and thats cool.....just experiment thats the fun part!
I kinda treat it like applying a wax or sealant work it in a little bit

So 2 passes max? This is going to go quicker than I thought

IF you are mixing with 601 then yes this is what I do....it will flash dry...apply with a few passes then wipe away.....I do a few panels at a time.
Apply 501/601 to maby 3 panels then buff off then continue whith rest of vehical untill finished then go to 105/601 same way....then top with wax.

Re: Plan A or B?
I apply basically the same as Dad07 does in reagrds to speed, usually 2 or 3 passes though for me to spread evenly and thinly. I do the roof, trunk and hood then wipe off, then one side then the other . 601/501 first 601/105 right after. If I top it's the next day
simply because DG takes on a different look the next day even with 601 mixed in. Main advante to 601 is the flash curing.

Re: Plan A or B?
Looks like I went with Plan C. None of the local stores carry 105, they have everything else Duragloss, but no 105. So I went with 101, as that is the closest thing they had.
Kind of bummed for one that no one had it local, and two that the 101 is half the size of the 105, you just get a foam pad in the box.
On a plus not, the people at my local Bumper to Bumper store were VERY helpful, and even have some off wall pads and other items if I ever need any in a pinch. The only other store in my town (NAPA) that carries Duragloss is useless.

Re: Plan A or B?
Also what about buying microfiber bonnets for my 9-10" orbital? You know the one for nothing better than wax? I just hate wasting (2) of my White LC pads by dedicating them for Duragloss from now on.

Woohoo, found a cheap local source for 4" pads and backing plate. Now I have a backup for when I don't have time to order from AG, can't wait to try them out!

Re: Plan A or B?
Ok, I used the 101 this weekend and had great results. Went to wash the vehicle a couple of hours later after cleaning the interior before putting a wax on top, and the beading was beautiful. I can't wait to put some on my truck.
Thing is though, the packaging says it is enough to do 2 full size vehicles, and I only used 1/4 of the bottle. Did I use enough?
