Opinions on Meguiars D301 Finishing Wax?
I recently got the Meguiars microfiber kit and was curious as to how the D301 is regarded as an actual wax as a LSP (durability & protection-wise)?
I'm sure it's good and all as Megs doesn't put out junk but was wanting to know what others thought.

Re: Opinions on Meguiars D301 Finishing Wax?
I used the Megs MF system a couple of weeks ago and everything came out good. The 301 stayed on the truck for about a week before I topped it with 845. I cant tell you how durability is, but between the wash with only the finish wax compared to the 845 topping the finish wax, 845 beeds a lot better. If that makes any sense.

I have only used it once. I used it on my daughters car in APril. Still beading until early October. I was surprised at how long it lasted.
Car was not driven a whole lot and not washed a whole lot. Maybe 4 washes in that time. IT did sit outside almost that whole time.
I see it as part of the DA MF system. I think it is geared toward good looking fast results. It does a nice job of clearing up the haze left behind by the D300 and MF pad. So I would use it for a final step after correcting daily drivers, friends, family or customer cars. ITs ease of use makes it perfect for saving time. If I am working on my own car or a show car, I would reach elsewhere.
If I am not correcting a car and just waxing. I would look elsewhere on the shelf.

It only lasted for about 1 to 2 months for me. I have also heard that it doesn't have any abrasives, that it just has cleaners and a wax. Idk if this is true or not. I have only used it once.

It's an AIO. Therefore it's going to be a jack of all trades master of nothing. It finishes well and looks good, but it will never last as long as 845 or Powerlock.

Works good for a couple months. I usually like to top with something else afterwards.

Has anyone used other polishes with the MF system other than 301... I'm intrigued by the system but don't want the protection offered by 301, I'd rather use my own LSP without having to remove the wax left by 301

Really? I like PF a lot but never really thought of using a diminishing abrasive polish with MF pads? Why? I have no idea lol. I will def give this a try
I also never used D301 I prefer to finish with a foam pad and finish polish and use an LSP of my choice. But I have seen some great cars finished with D301.

Has anyone used any other Menzerna polishes with the MF pads? And did you use the finish pad, or the one for the compound? Has anyone tried an LSP, say wolfgang sealer, with these MF pads? What about the MF pads from OP?
