Re: So I am going to try ONR tomorrow

After you use ONR you will order gallons and gallons of the stuff. I promise..

ONR is good stuff. At first I worried about inducing marring but it really works well.

Waterless wash is good but I feel that it is more of a treat for causing marring. I've tried it a couple times and didn't feel comfortable with it. It's all personal preference though

Re: So I am going to try ONR tomorrow

I've used waterless washes for light cleaning so far with no marring.

    1. Spray where covers but no need to have it dripping.
    2. Use long knap MF (folded in quarters) for the initial wipe. One direction and one pass only (no scrubbing).
    3. Use medium nap MF (quarters) to buff dry.

Change sides of long nap with body panel (half hood, half roof, door - on medium sedan). Change medium nap side if I see any dirt.

Need 4-8oz waterless, 2 long nap and (generally) only 1 medium nap per wash.

I got some ONR last year for use in the winter, but have started using it more regularly. I like it!

I was very skeptical about trying it until a friend of mine showed me the results in person. His car is flawless and all he uses is ONR so my fears of marring were not founded.

After I tried ONR myself I did exactly what tw33... stated. I now have at least 3 gallons of the stuff in my garage .

Can this be used on a really dirty black car without inducing swirls, marring?

If it has caked on mud, sand and/or grit, then spray down first. Otherwise, yes you can. Just be mindful of what you are doing, check your wash & drying media frequently and use Grit Guards in both buckets.

Good advice on spraying a cruddy vehicle down before an ONR wash. I even got great results doing it all wrong...
