What cheap wax can do for a oxy. van

About 4 years ago when I was around 12/13 my dad's friend brought his 95 Nissan Quest over. It was either dark green or black. Can't remember which. Anyway he came over for dinner with his wife, he was planning on selling the car. Although his main concern was that the paint looked dull and filmy with oxidization.(sp?)

I was waxing my brothers Lexus when I accidentally got some on the van. So instead of leaving it there I started trying wiping it off. I just let it sit so it could dry. Well know and behol when I wiped it off the paint became smooth and back to life.

So I started waxing the van, after 1 go it was back to life. My father's friend thanked me and gave me a tip. He was able to sell the van a few days later,

The wax was a 16 dollar can of Meguirs Carnuba.

That was not a cleaner wax, was it? A cleaner wax can do even a better job, if you are willing to do it all in one step.

    Agree.

Then again Turtle Wax Ice is 15.00 and is cheap as hell in my opinion!

Price isn't what makes a product.

as most have offered, cheap mass market waxes are all-in-one type products that can have paint cleaners and small abrasives to help with oxidized paint.
